| UNITED AMERICAN BULLDOG ASSOCIATION The UABA came together to secure the future of the American Bulldog to perpetuate the purity of the strains, to improve the quality of the stock and to remove the undeserved prejudice that existed in the public mind against our breeds. The UABA offers conformation shows and working events. At the shows, Bulldogs compete and are judged by their conformity to the breed standard and working ability. The UABA seeks to arm buyers, breeders, judges, and competitors with the information they need to protect our beloved bully breeds. As an association we encourage our membership to protect and care for our bully breeds, through proper care and handling, sound breeding practices, and good sportsmanship. We provide educational materials, classes, and information to encourage the general public to learn more about our breed. The UABA is strictly a nonprofit organization dedicated to the improvement of the AB. The goals of UABA are: 1. Promote the conformation standards and the working ability of the AB. 2. Promote Sportsmanship, Friendship, and Camaraderie amongst its competitors. 3. To host events that will enable its members the convenience of having shows closer to home, thereby reducing the travel distance of those owners in outlying areas. 4. To assist members and breeders with their breeding programs so that they may advance breeds. 5. To provide and promote seminars and instruction that will enable everyone to acquire specific knowledge concerning the breed, breeding, displaying, and performing with their dogs. The Board of Directors have vowed to take on any project that will not knowingly risk the integrity or credibility of the organization or its members. They will, however, endeavor to promote and advance the UABA to becoming one of the most efficient and well organized clubs that represent the bully breeds. Working together, this diverse group is determined to make UABA the Spotlight Club for the AB. Membership is open to all persons eighteen (18) years of age and up. UABA Membership is unrestricted as to residence. The UABA's primary purpose is to be representative to breeders, and to provide shows and working events. UABA Members receive an informative newsletter containing a wide variety of topics including: UABA Events, Shows, Brags, Show results, and helpful information that are of concern to all dog owners.
